Content Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
This policy explains where FindDito's listing information comes from, how it's verified, and what is and isn't allowed on the platform.
Where Our Data Comes From
- Open data, such as OpenStreetMap and Philippine open-government datasets.
- Business owners, who can claim a listing and update it directly.
- Community submissions and corrections from FindDito users.
- Official business sources (e.g. a business's own website) used to confirm factual details.
What We Don't Do
FindDito does not scrape Google Maps, Google Search images, Facebook, Instagram, or any business's social media without permission. We do not fabricate reviews or ratings.
Verification Badges
- Owner Verified — confirmed directly by the business owner.
- Recently Verified — checked against a reliable source recently.
- Community Verified — confirmed through community submissions.
- Unclaimed Listing — not yet confirmed by the business.
- Information Needs Update — flagged as potentially outdated.
Photos & Media
Listings without an owner-provided photo show a neutral category placeholder, clearly labeled, rather than an image implied to be an actual photo of the business. When a business owner uploads a photo, it is labeled "Verified Business Photo." By uploading a photo, you confirm you own it or have permission to share it, and grant FindDito a license to display it on the platform.
Community Corrections & Moderation
Anyone can suggest an edit on a listing (e.g. wrong hours, permanently closed, wrong address). Submissions, claims and corrections are reviewed by FindDito staff before a listing is updated.
Prohibited Listings
- Businesses that are illegal, fraudulent, or engaged in prohibited activity.
- Duplicate or spam listings.
- Listings created to mislead about ownership, location or services offered.
- Adult content, hate speech, or content that harasses an individual or business.
Reporting an Issue
If a listing is inaccurate, or an image or piece of content infringes your rights, use Suggest an Edit on the listing, or submit a Copyright / Takedown Request.
